Dr. Valentine has been a practicing small animal veterinarian for over 25 years. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Medical Technology and then went on to complete her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University. She practiced for many years in Tennessee before moving to Florida, having extensive experience in various aspects of veterinary medicine including mixed animal practice, small animal practice, house call care for elderly clients, treating and rehabilitating injured wildlife, and scientific research at Vanderbilt University.

In her spare time, Dr. Valentine enjoys scuba diving, gardening, playing a musical instrument and spending time with friends and family, including her dog, Ellie Mae and her two cats, Mystery and Cookie Boy.

Dr. Valentine is the owner and primary veterinarian here at Cedar Bay Veterinary Clinic, having bought the clinic in September of 2014.

Rita is an animal lover who recently joined the Cedar Bay team. Rita has a background in business administration and human resources and brings a great deal of experience to the business side of the hospital. Outside of work she enjoys time with her husband, children, grandchildren and her cats, Beau and Bella.

Arlene is our newest addition to the Cedar Bay team and is originally from Queens, New York. She is an animal lover who recently decided to crossover into the veterinary field after 20 years of working in the medical field. She can assist all of our Spanish speaking clients as well. Arlene is the proud dog mom of Tori and enjoys cooking and traveling in her spare time.

Karen has been working as a veterinary nurse since 1994 and joined the Cedar Bay Team in 2023.  She is devoted to helping pets experience a fear-free veterinary visit.  She loves being a pet parent to Two kitties, Zombie and Binx, two dogs Moo and Luna, a turtle named Hercules and Guido, a bearded dragon.  In her spare time, she enjoys baking, reading, music, scary movies and spending time with her family and pets.

Parker joined the Cedar Bay Team in 2023 and has always felt a strong connection with animals and knew she wanted to help them.  Parker grew up in Nashville and studied animal sciences in college.  Parker has a special affection for dogs and horses and enjoys theme parks, photography, crafting and videography.  She enjoys spending time with her golden retriever Allie and hound mix Scooby.

Michael joined the Cedar Bay team after completing his certified veterinary assistant training in 2023.  His grandfather inspired him to go into the veterinary field, having been a veterinarian in Nicaragua.  Michael speaks Spanish fluently and has a wonderful cat named Garrus.  He enjoys DC comics and golfing and spending time with his friends and family.

After working with dolphins and other sea animals at Sea World, Eileen discovered a love for veterinary medicine.  She completed her veterinary assisting training and joined the Cedar Bay team in 2022.  Eileen loves spending time with her husband and son, likes fitness, running and traveling.  She has dog named Chase and cat named Cinnabon who are best friends.

Ruoyan was born in China and grew up in Florida. She has a strong science background having graduated with her bachelors of science degree and is excited about continuing her studies and applying to veterinary school.  Ruoyan has a Samoyed named Daniel and two cats, Latte and Mori who keep her very busy.  In her spare time she loves to explore cuisine from all over the world, Anime, arts, and Lolita fashion.
